The place is a no nonsense affair, it just promises good Burgers.

And boy, are they good!!

Section-B opened sometime back in Jeddah and going by the number of people that que up during the opening hours at 1.00 pm, you know it is a raging success. And yes, they work only 4 days in a week, from Wednesday to Saturday, 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm for lunch and 6.30 pm to 11.30 pm for dinner.

The story of their origin in interesting. 6 friends got together and took 9 months, just to come up with the perfect recipe for their burger with the help of their chef. If this is not love, tell me what is!!

The diner itself is casual and chic. Service is quick and you can see a lot of friendly smiles all around.

Their menu is simple and straightforward. They offer 3 burgers. The "B" and "B-mini"which are Angus beef patties and the 'C" which is a fried chicken patty. There are 7 additional toppings to choose from and 3 sides. Thats all. But dont get fooled by the small size of the menu. Because these limited items each pack a punch in itself to satiate any tastebud.

The "C"
Since I dont eat beef, I have only tried the "C". Easily it is one of the best burgers I have had in Saudi Arabia. The patty is fried to perfection, with a coating of what i am guessing is their home made batter, and served in a choice of either white or brown bread. The coleslaw adds a nice crunch to every bite. The fries here are good as well, although to be honest, I have had better.

I have been with friends who have had the beef burger and they swear that its the best in town. And these are friends who are not easily impressed. So that says a lot about their burgers.

They seemed to have some mini desserts like a cookie and the likes, but i have not tried it yet in any of my visits so far. For me, the burger is perfect and I do not want to spoil the flavor with anything else.

Of all places in Jeddah this place definitely one that I will keep coming back to. I just wish they start opening all through the week.

Maharaja, translated in to english, means the Great King. And so when Maharaja by Vineet opened its doors in Saudi a long time back, I was really looking forward to a feast. Well, it was operational in Khobar and Riyadh, both significantly far from Jeddah, so it had to wait. The restaurant is the brainchild of Vineet Bhatia, a Michelin star chef. Hos geldiniz in turkish literally translated means " Your arrival is lovely". And this is so true for the arrival of this wonderful Turkish bakery and cafe GULNAR. Tucked away in a small corner off Prince Sultan street after Heraa street, this place is a wonderful small world in itself. Right from the beautiful signboard to the beautiful wooden doors, the place screams out Turkish in all ways possible. I have been to this cafe around 4 times in the past 6 months or so.
