Marcel's, located at the Danube square off Tahliya street, was highly recommened by various people on the jeddahfood website. This newly open place serves only frozen yoghurt that is specially imported from South Africa. Upon entering the place, you are greeted by a warm white decor with multi color lights that gives the place an inter-galactic feel. There is a small display offering the various flavors of frozen yoghurts and there are the dispensers that dole out the yoghurts in the soft cone format. The good thing is that the flavors are not limited to the usual three flavors of Vanilla, berry and yoghurt. Instead you get to choose form a wide variety of imaginative flavors like peanut butter and English toffee apart from the usual ones.

The family seating is one the first floor which is manned all the time by a friendly smiling server. After inspecting the offerings on the ground floor, we settled comfortably on the first floor. Scanning the menu and deciding took some time as the menu is really big, but the friendly waiter helped us narrow our choices by helping us with their most popular offerings.

I decided to go for the Berry blast which was supposed to have 2 scoops of frozen yoghurt of my choice, granola grains served with whipped cream and fresh berries. I decided on a strawberry scoop and a scoop of peanut butter. Wife decided on a Belgian waffle with a scoop of the English toffee and chocolate sauce.

The product was sheer bliss for our taste buds. The frozen yoghurt tasted divine, the presentation was spot on, but the Belgian waffle stole the show. It was perfectly made and tasted extremely fresh. We have become fans of this place ( literally on the FB page:-)).
One thing stuck us odd though, they did not have a single flavor that was sugar free. This is the only glitch i feel in a otherwise perfect experience.
